Have you ever lost a baby? You are not alone, as many as 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss.
The Church cares about you and your baby. The teachings and spirituality of the Catholic Church hold great source of comfort and hope for those who are grieving the loss of a baby before or after birth. However, the silence surrounding this issue has often prevented believers from finding the help they need. We are a volunteer ministry of laypersons who have “been there” and we want to serve others who are suffering a loss. We are a new ministry still exploring and developing ways to address the needs of our community. Want to get involved or just want to talk?

The Shrine of the Holy Innocents - shrineofholyinnocents.org/shrine-of-the-unborn ~ (212) 279-5861 ~ 128 W 37th St. NY, NY 10018
At the Church of The Holy Innocents, in midtown Manhattan, a shrine is dedicated to the memory of children who have died unborn. They invite you to name your child(ren) and to have your baby's name inscribed in their "BOOK OF LIFE" that rests between the statues of the Holy Family. Here, a candle is always lit in their memory and people stop to pray all day long. On the first Monday of every month, the 12:15 pm Mass is celebrated in honor of these children and for the comfort of their families. When you submit your baby’s name online, you can also request a Certificate of Life to be sent to you via email with your baby’s name.
