The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a Eucharistic association of women who feel called to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest.
The initial recipient of prayer is the shepherd of the parish, the pastor. Subsequent groups may be formed for others, such as the parochial vicar, or a retired priest.
Each member commits to a Holy Hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament on a distinct day of the week, thus covering a complete week. This generous commitment of one hour per week of prayer is asked for a period of one year.
In conjunction with the Seven Sisters Apostolate, a group of “Fasting brothers” commit to fasting one day a week for the sole intention of the pastor. The prayers and fasting are directed toward the office of shepherd, and his greater conformity to Christ.
