We are celebrating over 25 years of providing meals for the homeless men who come to the Pleasant Valley Shelter on Brighton Road in Pittsburgh. We are in need of volunteers to help with this very rewarding ministry. There are about 35 men we serve dinner to on the fourth Sunday of every month at 7:00 pm.  A coordinator is assigned each month to plan the menu and get the team together.

• Sign up to serve once or twice a year. 
• Call your coordinator for the evening, two weeks before you are scheduled to serve, so that she can plan out the menu.
• There are three ways to help: 

1. Prepare a dish for 35 men and take it to the shelter to help serve the dinner.
2. Prepare a dish and drop it off at the coordinator’s house.
3. Make a donation to help defray the cost of the meal.

The time is minimal, only 1 or 2 times a year, however, the reward is great. The men are very appreciative of receiving a good meal and knowing that someone cares!
