“She is the great missionary. She will work miracles!”
- Saint Vincent Pallotti
“In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” (Luke 1:39-45)
Regina Coeli Parish has acquired three beautiful images of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The images will go on pilgrimage to parishioner homes. Each home will retain the image in a place of honor for nine days. During that time parishioners are encouraged to offer a novena (nine days of prayer) to the Blessed Mother under her title of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Other prayers like the rosary may also be offered. Booklets with the novena prayer will accompany the images.
The purpose is to encourage prayer within parishioner homes with the confidence that our Blessed Mother will indeed work miracles of grace just as she did for her cousin Elizabeth. The novena and other prayers may be offered for the return to the practice of the faith by fallen away loved ones, vocations to the priesthood and whatever personal needs each person might have. To sign up to host the blessed images for a designated nine day period, please click the preferred church for pick up:
