Join us Friday, March 29th, Good Friday at 7 pm for Tenebrae at Assumption Church. "Tenebrae" is Latin for “shadows” or “darkness”. The Tenebrae Service will feature the Assumption Schola and guest singers, recreating the emotional aspects of the passion narrative of Jesus. The Tenebrae liturgy is taken from Matins and Lauds, the first two hours of the traditional Divine Office, as well as readings from the New Testament, writings of saints, and the Lamentations of Jeremiah.
